Filing on eJagriti / eDaakhil

Once you have downloaded your complaint from Consumer Buddy, you file it yourself on the official Government of India consumer portal. Here is how the process works.
1. Create an account
Visit edaakhil.nic.in and register with your email and mobile number. Verify the OTP to activate your account.
2. Select the right Commission
Choose District, State, or National Commission based on your total claim amount — Consumer Buddy shows you the correct tier on the relief step.
3. Enter complainant & opposite party details
Fill in your details and those of the opposite party (or parties). These map directly to the details you entered in the Consumer Buddy wizard.
4. Upload your complaint PDF
Upload the complaint document you generated and downloaded from Consumer Buddy.
5. Upload your annexures
Attach each supporting document (annexure) in the order cited in your complaint.
6. Pay the court fee online
Pay the prescribed court fee for your claim slab through the portal. (Note: the court fee is separate from any Consumer Buddy charge.)
7. Submit & note your case number
Submit the complaint and save the case/diary number generated by the portal.
8. Track your case
Use the eDaakhil tracking page with your case number to follow notices and hearing dates.
Court fee schedule
The court fee depends on your total claim amount and is paid directly to the Commission through the portal (it is separate from any Consumer Buddy charge). Indicative slabs:

| ₹10 lakh – ₹20 lakh | ₹500 |
| ₹20 lakh – ₹50 lakh | ₹2,000 |
| ₹50 lakh – ₹1 crore | ₹2,500 |
| ₹1 crore – ₹2 crore | ₹3,000 |
Fees are indicative and may be revised by the Government — always confirm the current fee on the portal before paying.
What happens next
After admission, the Commission issues notice to the opposite party, hearings are scheduled, and the matter proceeds to orders. Keep checking the portal for updates.
